Liver and Pancreas!! Two Organs that aid the Digestion System

Apr 25 2016

The Liver is a 3-4 pound organ. It is one of the busiest organ in the human body. It is located under the diaphragm right side larger than left side. Three-fourths of the Liver may be removed without seriously impairing digestion and nutrition. The Liver has an Alkaline ph and manufacture BILE which aids digestion of FAT.

The Pancreas is about 6-8 inches long. It is located in the center of the abdomen behind the stomach between the kidneys near the spleen on the left side. The Pancreas also has an Alkaline ph. It has two functions one is to produce Pancreatic Juice which aids in the digestion process. The other function is to produce Insulin and Glucagon. The Pancreatic Juice shares the same duct as the Liver Bile. When Salivary glands, Gastric Juices fail to digest completely, the Pancreas organ takes on the extra burden of digestion.
